Storytelling
Telling it. Showing it. Bringing it to life. The room becomes a river, a forest, a night sky — and everyone in it is part of the tale.
There’s a place to begin —
and room to grow.
From finding your voice and building confidence and social skills to creating, collaborating and performing, there’s a pathway for every stage.
Where storytellers begin
1+ years · 45 minutes
Storytelling · Rhythm · Rhyme
An imaginative introduction to storytelling and creative expression for early learners. Through stories, music and play, children explore rhythm & rhyme, imaginative play, movement, music and creative confidence in a playful and supportive environment.
Telling it. Showing it. Bringing it to life. The room becomes a river, a forest, a night sky — and everyone in it is part of the tale.
Singing. Moving. Making music. Shakers for the rain, a rasp for a crocodile's grin — instruments wake up right inside the story.
Imagining. Learning. Expressing ideas. Poems performed with the whole body — tiny whispers, surprised faces, sneaky grins.

Ranges Studio grew from a simple belief: young people develop best when imagination leads and their voices are welcomed.
Over many years working in classrooms, creative spaces, and school productions, one thing became clear. The moments that matter most are not only the polished performances and big finales. They are the quieter breakthroughs. A child finding their voice. A hesitant student choosing to step forward. A room softening as confidence begins to unfold.
When imagination leads, confidence follows.
Ranges Studio exists to make room for those moments.
Young people are encouraged to play, tell stories, move, listen, and create, discovering communication and expression in ways that feel natural and joyful. Confidence grows through shared experiences, creativity, and connection.
My career in Speech & Dramatic Arts spans more than 25 years across teaching, children’s entertainment, and large-scale school productions. I’ve worked across early learning, primary, and secondary settings, in both educational and creative environments, including Melbourne Grammar, the Dublin Academy of Dramatic Arts, and Braemar College in the beautiful Macedon Ranges.
One thing has remained constant throughout my work: creativity doesn’t look the same for everyone. At Ranges Studio, I draw on my background as an educator to design thoughtful, supportive programs that honour different voices and learning styles. Young people are given time, encouragement, and space to find their own way, in an environment where it’s okay to be silly, curiosity is welcomed, and communication grows naturally.
Alongside our classes, Ranges Studio proudly supports local artists and growers, celebrating the creativity and care that shape our community.
A silent online art auction and evolving showcase of local artists. Each piece opens at the artist’s reserve, marked by a simple red dot as it finds a new home. A quiet, considered way to discover beautiful work, support local talent, and collect pieces that are genuinely one of a kind.
Seasonal floral arrangements inspired by the plants and colours of our region. Each piece is created in collaboration with local growers, celebrating what’s in bloom right now. Thoughtful, ever-changing designs — a meaningful gift, or a small moment of beauty just for you.
When imagination leads, confidence follows.
